Bures Road Home Office Project
For this home office renovation, the client’s brief was to create a functional and modern workspace that made the most of one full wall. The goal was to upgrade the existing room into a smart, clutter-free environment that would support daily working from home while offering plenty of storage for books, documents, and equipment.
Our approach
We designed and built a wall of full-height fitted bookcases with closed storage cupboards below, combining open display with practical concealed space. To enhance the natural beauty of the materials, we kept the wood grain visible throughout the bookcases and cabinetry, giving the room warmth and texture.
Integrated LED strip lighting was added to each cabinet side to highlight the shelving and add a contemporary edge — especially effective in the evenings or darker corners of the room.
The built-in desk was carefully planned to meet the client’s exact needs, with thoughtful details to keep the workspace clean and organised. We included a filing drawer, a stationery drawer, and discreet cable management to hide computer wires and power leads — keeping the surface clear and focused.
The Result
The finished home office is a calm, beautifully crafted space that strikes the perfect balance between function and style. With seamless built-in storage, warm natural materials, and subtle lighting, it’s a workspace that feels both productive and inspiring — tailored exactly to the client’s needs.
