The Story Of Chapel Lane Furniture

Chapel Lane was founded in 2020 by Jeffrey Knight, with the intention of designing and making bespoke cabinetry and kitchens using traditional craftsmanship and carefully selected quality materials. Having worked for 25 years in the industry, Jeffrey has experience of designing and crafting bespoke furniture, cabinet making and high-end kitchen and furniture installation.

Following in his father’s footsteps, Jeffrey studied Furniture Design and cabinetmaking at Suffolk College and worked between studies at his father's business learning to make wooden cased clocks. Upon graduating, he joined a local joinery company working on large-scale joinery projects, one being the Windsor Castle renovations. In 2002, not long after the birth of his daughter, Jeffrey joined a local bespoke furniture and kitchen company where he spent many years learning his craft.

    Owen has been a valued member of the team since 2021. A true craftsman, he combines an exceptional eye for detail with a strong work ethic, consistently producing work of the highest standard.  


  • Trainee Cabinetmaker 

    Rory is our newest trainee cabinetmaker and has quickly become an important part of the team. His enthusiasm for woodworking, willingness to learn, and positive attitude make him a pleasure to work with every day.
