At Chapel Lane Furniture, craftsmanship is central to everything we do.

The company was founded in 2020 by Jeffrey Knight, who has more than 25 years' experience in bespoke furniture, cabinet making and high-end kitchen and furniture installation. Jeffrey studied Furniture Design and Cabinetmaking at Suffolk College before developing his craft through experience in joinery and bespoke furniture. His earlier work included large-scale joinery projects, including the renovation of Windsor Castle.

Today, that experience informs the way we approach every project. We combine traditional cabinet-making skills with modern techniques to achieve the precision required for contemporary bespoke furniture, while retaining the attention to detail and individuality associated with handcrafted cabinetry.

Our workshop in Little Cornard, near Sudbury, Suffolk, is where our bespoke cabinetry and furniture are designed and made. This gives us close control over the manufacturing process and the quality of the finished furniture.

We are proud to design and manufacture bespoke furniture from our Suffolk workshop. Our experienced team brings together cabinet-making knowledge, attention to detail and a shared commitment to producing furniture to a high standard.

Alongside founder Jeffrey Knight, our workshop team includes Workshop Manager Owen Marriott, who has been with Chapel Lane Furniture since 2021, and trainee cabinetmaker Rory Weavers. Together, the team works across our bespoke furniture projects, from manufacture through to the finished result.

Our wider work includes bespoke kitchens, fitted cabinetry, home offices, media units, bookcases and made-to-measure storage. This breadth of experience allows us to approach fitted wardrobes as part of the wider interior, rather than as an isolated piece of furniture.
